Release

Release began as a simple picture of smoke rising from an incense stick. Hundreds of photos are taken during a shoot, and then they are examined closely to find the forms within the shape of the smoke. When viewing the smoke images, certain shapes and forms become apparent. Then, they are digitally edited to add color to further accentuates the structure of the form and tell the story hidden within. The image was then placed on a background field created digitally. Finally, the image is printed on metal.
