“Venus Rising, a celebration of women”
When I think about how many times I kept going when I wanted to give up, the times I pushed forward when I wanted to crawl into a hole and hide - it amazes me. The little girl hiding her tears at night. The adolescent putting on a brave face. The young adult feeling lost in the world. All of those girls would be proud of the woman I’ve become. Painting poetry out of pain and rising from ashes left from the fires that nearly burned me - this is one of my biggest accomplishments.
