I have constantly failed to deem different parts of my body beautiful, however after discovering various methods of self-love and self appreciation, I could not stop loving myself and noticing the different features of my body that emphasize who I am. In regard to "Venus Rising" I find the celebration of women and the strength they demonstrate everyday beautiful. Their bodies, that come in different shapes, sizes, and colors demonstrate tenacity and ever-growing beauty. Our bodies tell stories about who we are and where we come from. Our bodies deserve to be admired, to be displayed, and to be remembered. I think this exhibition will demonstrate what it means to be a woman and reveal the heartwarming and delicate parts of ourselves that we do not often share with the world. This is our deeper selves. The parts most closest to us.
