The Process is Divine
This is example of "blackout poetry." I pasted a page from a book onto a wood panel and left words to make the sentence, "The process is divine and spiritual and deeply transformative." After paint and gesso were applied and some mark making, the edges of the page and some of the paint was sanded down to leave a soft, smooth yet rugged finish.

I love the subtle image of a ladder on the edge of this piece that speaks to the "rising" and the process of being transformed little by little, one day at a time.
