David A. D’Alessandris creates artworks in acrylics, water-based, pencil, and mixed media, emphasizing color, vibrancy, texture, and perspective. His materials of choice are recycled paper and board, fibers, wood, canvas, and glass as well as found, recycled, and repurposed objects.
His prize-winning paintings, prints, drawings, and decorative arts reside in corporate and private collections in the United States and internationally and have been featured in numerous group and solo exhibits including NOVA Gallery, Weber Gallery, Brick Center for the Arts, and Ocala Arts Group at the Appleton Museum, Ocala, FL; Lynn Kottler Galleries, 225 Gallery, and DIFFA , New York City; Around the Coyote, Chicago; Three Rivers Arts Festival, Pittsburgh; Cornell Museum of Art, Delray Beach, FL; and Gallery 221, Boca Raton, FL.
David has more than 20 years of experience in home fashion and product design. His work in that field has been featured at the High Museum of Art, Atlanta, and he credits his international retail experience as a major influence on his art. He sits on the board of the Marion Cultural Alliance and received the 2017 MCA Arts Service Award for his commitment to the local creative community. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting, design, and studio arts from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and pursued graduate study in the Master of Fine Arts program at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh.
